PIK3CA and colorectal carcinoma: In a study conducted by Ding et al. with 386 cases and 394 controls in China, it was identified that the SNP rs141178472, located in the miR-520a binding site of the phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha gene (PIK3CA), is associated with the risk of CRC.
