CD44 and neoplasm: Our analysis revealed that the core gene set comprises genes involved in inflammation and immunity (CXCL8, IL1B, IL1RN, OLR1, PDE4B, PROK2, and SRGN), tumor proliferation, invasion, and metastasis (ACSL1, AQP9, BCL2A1, CD44, ETS2, RHOH, and TRIB1) as well as energy metabolism and oxidative stress response (LITAF, NAMPT, and SOD2).
