A study revealed that Wnt11 expression is downregulated in HCC, and overexpression of Wnt11 activates protein kinase C, antagonizes classical Wnt signaling by promoting the phosphorylation of β-catenin, and inhibits proliferation and migration of HCC cells by modulating RhoA/ROCK and Rac1 activities [59]. This evidence concerns the gene RAC1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
