Moreover, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis revealed that Mena expression levels were related to patient survival only in patients with HPV16-negative cancers and that patients with high Mena expression had lower overall survival (p = 0.016) and disease-free survival (p = 0.009) rates, whereas there was no significant correlation between Mena expression levels and patient survival in patients with HPV16-positive cancers (Figure 1D).
