Although generally immunofluorescence microscopy shows mGluR6 protein restricted to dendritic tips, in certain labeling conditions, mAb 1438 detected endogenous mGluR6 in BC bodies, suggesting that the complex-glycosylated protein might be present in post-Golgi vesicles throughout the cell body, and possibly the dendrites (Agosto et al, 2021). This evidence concerns the gene GRM6 and breast cancer.
