In the pharmacologic management of delirium, various agents, including antipsychotics-particularly haloperidol-alpha-2 agonists, such as dexmedetomidine, antidepressants, and acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, have been explored in the literature.16 In our study, dexmetatomidine and haloperidol were the most frequently used treatments, yet no significant difference was observed in terms of patient outcomes like discharge rates or mortality. The gene discussed is ACHE; the disease is delirium.
