SIRT1 and injury: Curcumin, a polyphenolic compound from turmeric (Curcuma longa), is noted for its anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant, lipid‐regulating, and potential antiviral and anticancer properties in medical research.[10] Due to its demonstrated efficacy in mitigating HS‐induced kidney injury, curcumin emerges as a promising agent for the prophylaxis and treatment of HS.[11] Moreover, studies have shown that curcumin can effectively regulate SIRT1 activity in various disease models and is recognized as a natural activator of SIRT1.[12, 13, 14]
