FCRL3 and Graves disease: For rs3761959, the derived C allele (global allele frequency 54%) is associated with reduced FCRL3 expression and reduced risk of Graves’ disease (P = 2.27×10−12, (Zhao et al., 2013)) and rheumatoid arthritis (1×10−10, Europeans, (Ha et al., 2021)) (1×10−8, Europeans, (Kim et al., 2015)) (p=5.2×10−6, Japanese, (Kochi et al., 2005)), while increasing risk of multiple sclerosis (p = 1.0×10−8, European, (International Multiple Sclerosis Genetics et al., 2011) (International Multiple Sclerosis Genetics et al., 2019)).
