CD8A and melanoma: Inspection of the spatial organization of the melanoma, TAMs, and activated CD8+ T cells in slide 33RD (Fig. 4c), shows that a large portion of the melanoma and the activated CD8+ T cells are spatially segregated, which could limit the access of the CD8+ T-cell population to the majority of the melanoma cells, whereas when the activated CD8+ T cells are distributed homogeneously in the altered initial distribution, most of the melanoma cells can be accessed and eliminated by the CD8+ T cells.
