NOFs are one of the most common benign focal lesions found in the pediatric population but are completely asymptomatic in up to 30% of the population in the first and second decades [1,5,6]. According to the WHO classification of tumors, NOF represents true benign neoplasms driven by activated mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling.
