IL17A and spondyloarthropathy: Qaiyum et al. [40] observed that in the context of subclinical intestinal inflammation, activated Paneth cells are prone to producing IL-23, which further stimulates the production of IL-17 by immune cells such as Th17 cells, type 3 innate lymphoid cells (ILC3), and mucosa-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells, which are pivotal in the pathogenesis of spondyloarthritis.
