The Western blotting results indicated that IKBKE knockdown could not further decrease the phosphorylation levels of AKT and GSK3β in renal cancer cells in the context of RRM2 silencing (Figure 4F, left panel), and importantly RRM2 silencing attenuated the ability of IKBKE overexpression to alter the phosphorylation levels of AKT and GSK3β in renal cancer cells (Figure 4F, right panel). The gene discussed is GSK3B; the disease is renal carcinoma.
