As shown in Table 3, people living with HIV/AIDS whose CD4 counts <200 cells/mm3 was 3.77 times (AOR = 3.77; 95% CI: 1.01–13.15; p-value = 0.04) more likely to get an infection with intestinal parasites than those with CD4 counts >500 cells/mm3 (Table 3). This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and infection.
