Yoon et al. (2018) found that FZD4 could serve as an index for lateral plate mesoderm, which increased cardiomyocyte proliferation via the canonical Wnt pathway. Recently, Yin et al. (2021) established the acute myocardial infarction model by ligation of the left anterior descending branch and found that FZD4 mediated the β-catenin/NF-kB signaling to promote cardiac fibrosis. This evidence concerns the gene FZD4 and acute myocardial infarction.
