To explore whether berberine modulates the body’s response to Salmonella infection, the levels of immunoglobulins (IgA, IgM, and IgG), antioxidant indicators (alkaline phosphatase activity and total antioxidant capacity), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), triglycerides, and total cholesterol were measured in the serum of chicks from each group at 21 and 35 days of age. This evidence concerns the gene CD79A and Salmonella Infections.
