The results of univariate logistic regression indicated that advanced age, decreased platelet count, decreased total cholesterol, decreased high‐density lipoprotein cholesterol, decreased low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol, elevated blood urea nitrogen, elevated serum creatinine, elevated procalcitonin, elevated C‐reactive protein, elevated d‐dimer, prolonged prothrombin time, prolonged thrombin time, and increased viral load were significantly associated with the occurrence of SFTS‐associated encephalitis Table 3 and Figures 1, 2, 3. This evidence concerns the gene F2 and encephalitis.
