Remarkably, the liver fibrosis mice treated with vitamin D resulted in a substantial reduction in the levels of the tested cytokines: IL-1β (2.2-fold), IL-4 (1.9-fold), IL-6 (8-fold), OPN (1.45-fold), and TNF-α (1.7-fold) compared to CCl4 alone. Here, IL1B is linked to Hepatic fibrosis.
