Another study showed that baicalin (50–200 μmol/L 48 h) inhibited SGC-7901 cells with the upregulation of Bax and the downregulation of Bcl-2, cyclinD1, cyclinA1, and PI3K, suggesting that baicalin inhibits GC cell proliferation by blocking PI3K/Akt and its downstream pathway (Zheng et al., 2016).
