In a study of AYA survivors, Keegan et al. (2013) [10] found that short-term survival varies: Black women, women with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) or hormone receptor (HR)-negative and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive (HR − /HER2 +) cancers, women of lower socioeconomic status, and publicly insured women experienced shorter survival. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is cancer.
