GPT and congenital secretory chloride diarrhea 1: Liver enzymes serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) and serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase (SGPT) were markedly elevated in alcoholic hepatitis, averaging 336.90 IU/L and 232.60 IU/L, respectively, compared to lower levels in fatty liver and CLD (all p<0.001). The high standard deviations for variables like sodium and potassium reflect the variability in these electrolyte levels among patients with differing severities and types of liver disease, such as fatty liver, alcoholic hepatitis, and CLD.
