MAP2K7 and neoplasm: Mitomycin-C is an antitumor antibiotic that inhibits DNA synthesis by producing DNA cross-links which halt cell replication and eventually cause cell death (Bradner, 2001), temozolomide is a chemotherapy drug that works by alkylating DNA, which damages its structure and eventually kills the cell (Zhang et al., 2012), sorafenib blocks tumor proliferation and growth by inhibiting the RAF/MEK/extracellular signal-regulated kinase pathway (Hendrixson et al., 2024), these function is consistent with our findings that higher HJURP links with activation of DNA repair and cell cycle signaling.
