ADAR1 is a promising target for oncogenic treatment as silencing ADAR1 decreases the aggressiveness of tumors (mainly characterized by self-renewal, proliferation, and migration), including thyroid cancer (Ramírez-Moya et al. 2021, 2020), glioblastoma (Jiang et al. 2022), and breast cancer (Kung et al. 2021; Liu et al. 2019). This evidence concerns the gene ADAR and thyroid gland carcinoma.
