Specifically, we investigated ten VEGF (VEGFA, VEGFB, VEGFC, VEGFD, PGF, FLT1, FLT4, KDR, NRP1, and NRP2) family members’ expression within eight brain cell types to test for differential expression between cognitively normal participants and those with AD, along with expression associations with global cognition (cross‐sectional and longitudinal trajectories) and AD pathology (amyloid beta [Aβ] load and tau neurofibrillary tangle density; Figure 1B).
