KLF5 and gastric cancer: In the development of gastric cancer (GC), the abnormal overexpression of the transcription factor KLF5 results in the dysregulation of several lncRNAs, such as MIRLET7BHG, leading to the disruption of the normal function of several miRNAs (hsa-miR-873, hsa-miR-522, hsa-miR-505, hsa-miR-484, hsa-miR-374a, hsa-miR-340, hsa-miR-331, and hsa-miR-151a) and thus promotes cancer growth through a ceRNA network.
