The positive feedback loop of the NAT10/MYB binding protein 1a (Mybbp1a)/p53 axis promotes iron death in cardiomyocytes, and NAT10 induces ac4C modification of Mybbp1a, which increases its stability, leading to the activation of p53 and the subsequent repression of the transcription of the iron‐death‐resistant gene, SLC7A11, which exacerbates cardiac ischemia–reperfusion (I/R) injury.73 The gene discussed is MYBBP1A; the disease is myocardial ischemia.
