A 19-year-old male with anxiety and influenza-associated rhabdomyolysis presented with mild dry cough, worsening lower extremities myalgias, and hematuria. Lab results showed a CK level of 694,200, AST/ALT of 2715/483, LDH of 13,950, and creatinine of 0.982. He survived the episode. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and rhabdomyolysis.
