Increase in the parameters of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), interleukin-1 (IL-1), interleukin-6 (IL-6), C- reactive protein (CRP), plasminogen, endothelin-1, fibrinogen, cystatin-C, fetuin B, vascular endothelial growth factor, and endostatin levels have been documented in the PCOS-affected women. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and polycystic ovary syndrome.
