GAST and neoplasm: In tumors, the abnormal expression of AQP1 is closely related to angiogenesis and the invasive ability of tumor cells.20 AQP1 can promote the absorption and excretion of water and other small molecules by tumor cells, thereby maintaining their osmotic balance and metabolic needs.9,20 G17 is a type of gastrin, which is mainly produced by normal gastric cells and participates in the regulation of gastric acid secretion.10 However, studies have reported high levels of G17 expression in LC, which may be related to abnormal activation of the gastrin system.21
