Accordingly, immunofluorescent staining on the same samples subjected to whole genome sequencing revealed that statistically, there were indeed more KLRC1+/CD56+ NK cells (inactivated NK cells) in the stroma around the MPC components, whereas the KLRC1−/CD56+ NK cells (common/active NK cells) were more enriched in the concomitant adenocarcinoma regions (Fig. 1F, G).
