In recent literature, candidate‐gene case‐control studies have identified multiple but consistent genetic associations with stroke, such as factor V Leiden, methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR), prothrombin, and angiotensin‐converting enzyme (ACE) [11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24]. This evidence concerns the gene MTHFR and stroke disorder.
