In mice with bleomycin (BLM)-induced PF, the administration of neotuberostemonine (NTS), an alkaloid derived from the root of Stemona tuberosa Lour, significantly reduced the number of inflammatory cells and the expression of alpha-SMA, TGF-β1, and collagen in lung tissue. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and pemphigus foliaceus.
