Interestingly, in the process of our research, lncRNA EPIC1 (567 nt), a different variant with lnc191, was reported to be upregulated in several cancers, including breast cancer and lung cancer, by interacting with MYC.[37, 38, 39] In our study, we identified a new variant of EPIC1 in ESCC named lnc191 (1736 nt), which was determined through RACE and northern blot techniques. This evidence concerns the gene EPIC1 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
