COL1A2 and osteogenesis imperfecta type 1: In 2020 Morlino et al. [36] coined the term COL1 overlap disorder pertaining to individuals with previously reported OIEDS1 and OIEDS2 due to combined symptoms of osteogenesis imperfecta type 1 (non-deforming OI with blue sclerae) and Ehlers Danlos syndromes due to structural COL1A1 and COL1A2 variants without fulfilling the clinical criteria for these conditions.
