No statistically significant differences were observed in OS based on initial diagnosis stage (local or metastatic), histology type (adenocarcinoma or mucinous adenocarcinoma), primary colon surgery, KRAS, NRAS, and BRAF status, or metastatic sites (p > 0.05) (Tables 3-4). The multivariate analysis confirmed that ECOG performance status (≥2 vs. 0-1; HR: 1.43; 95% CI: 1.07-1.92; p=0.014) and metastasectomy (yes vs. no; HR: 0.1; 95% CI: 0.01-0.83; p=0.03) remained independently associated with OS. This evidence concerns the gene BRAF and colon mucinous adenocarcinoma.
