No statistically significant differences were observed in OS based on initial diagnosis stage (local or metastatic), histology type (adenocarcinoma or mucinous adenocarcinoma), primary colon surgery, KRAS, NRAS, and BRAF status, or metastatic sites (p > 0.05) (Tables 3-4). The multivariate analysis confirmed that ECOG performance status (≥2 vs. 0-1; HR: 1.43; 95% CI: 1.07-1.92; p=0.014) and metastasectomy (yes vs. no; HR: 0.1; 95% CI: 0.01-0.83; p=0.03) remained independently associated with OS. The gene discussed is BRAF; the disease is mucinous adenocarcinoma.
