Subgroup analysis showed an increased risk of level 1 hypoglycemia in patients with type 2 diabetes regardless of previous insulin use (for insulin-naïve type 2 diabetes, OR 1.51, 95% CI 1.31 to 1.75; I2 = 0%; p < 0.00001; for non-insulin-naïve type 2 diabetes, OR 1.25, 95% CI 1.01 to 1.56; I2 = 46%; p = 0.04) and regardless of the type of insulin used (for icodec, OR 1.41, 95% CI 1.24 to 1.61; I2 = 13%; p < 0.00001; for BIF, OR 1.48, 95% CI 1.07 to 2.05; I2 = 0%; p = 0.02) (Figure 5, Supplementary Figure 6A).
