Research indicates that NMOSD, when positive for AQP4-IgG, is not only associated with a wide range of autoantibodies, including those extractable nuclear antigen (ENA), antinuclear antibodies (ANA), acetylcholine receptor muscle (mAChR), double-stranded DNA (dsDNA), and ganglionic acetylcholine receptor (gAChR), but also linked to several autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematous (SLE), Sjogren’s syndrome (SS), antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), and myasthenia gravis (MG) (65).
