Overall, these results highlight claudin-4’s role in modulating the interplay between nuclear physiology and cell-cycle progression, which may help reduce the formation of genomic instability, underscoring claudin-4’s potential clinical impact in ovarian tumors (See Supplementary Fig. S6A; ref. 22) through control of the cell cycle and maintenance of genome integrity.
