Studies have demonstrated that antiangiogenic drugs have multiple effects on homologous recombination deficiency (HRD), including reducing angiogenesis, creating hypoxia in tumor microenvironment, and downregulating BRCA1/2 and RAD51, two of the most important components in HRD (29–31). This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and hypoparathyroidism-retardation-dysmorphism syndrome.
