Osimertinib, as a standard therapy, has been approved by the FDA and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for the treatment of resected early-stage NSCLC, thanks to the results of the double-blind phase III ADAURA trials, which evaluated the role of osimertinib in stages IB to IIIA EGFR-mutated early-stage NSCLC [20]. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
