Univariate binary logistic regression analysis of the various parameters revealed that the variables significantly associated with all postoperative complications were preoperative absolute neutrophil count (OR: 1.11; 95% CI: 1.02-1.21), lymphocyte count (OR: 0.36; 95% CI: 0.22-0.57), NLR (OR: 1.33; 95% CI: 1.19-1.49), PLR (OR: 1.01; 95% CI: 1.007-1.01), CRP (OR: 1.034; 95% CI: 1.01-1.05), plasma Na levels (OR: 0.896; 95% CI: 0.81-0.98), and type of appendicitis (OR: 7.96, 95% CI: 3.08-20.58) on operation (p < 0.05). Here, CRP is linked to appendicitis.
