YAP1 and ovarian cancer: The recurrent Yes-associated transcriptional regulator-mastermind-like transcriptional co-activator 2 (YAP1-MAML2 [YM]) fusion, resulting from intrachromosomal inversion, has been identified in a diverse array of cancers, including nasopharyngeal carcinoma,3 ovarian cancer,4 skin tumor poroma and porocarcinoma,5,6 thymomas,7,8,9 parotid gland carcinoma,10 and more complex forms of sarcomas11 and hemangioendotheliomas.12
