Our work provides evidence linking a novel syndromic condition, for which we propose the name of LRRC8C-related TIMES syndrome (an acronym for Telangiectasia, Intellectual disability, Microcephaly and metaphyseal dysplasia, Eye findings and Short stature), with variants in a volume-regulated anion channel subunit that is a priori involved in basic and ubiquitous functions related to the regulation of the cellular size in homeostatic conditions (Jentsch, 2016). This evidence concerns the gene LRRC8C and Metaphyseal dysplasia.
