PKM and non-small cell lung carcinoma: on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), increased histone lactylation can lead to decreased levels of hexokinase 1 (HK-1) and pyruvate kinase M (PKM) in glycolysis, as well as increased levels of succinate dehydrogenase (SDHA) and isocitrate dehydrogenase 3γ (IDH3γ) in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle.
