SU levels were negatively correlated with blood glucose (p < 0.001), and HDL (p = 0.003), HbA1C (p = 0.004) and glycated albumin (p = 0.018) in Figure 2, while SU levels were positively correlated with LDL (p < 0.001), creatinine (p < 0.001), TC (p = 0.006), TG (p < 0.001), and insulin levels (p = 0.010) in Figure 2 suggesting higher SU level as a result of insulin resistance/hyperinsulinemia might lead to MASLD in patients with MS. This evidence concerns the gene INS and Hyperinsulinemia.
