In prostate cancer, miR‐182 upregulation activates hypoxia‐inducible factor 1α (HIF1α) signaling by targeting and inhibiting HIF‐1 (FIH1) and prolyl hydroxylase domain enzymes (PHD) [27]; it also induces cell proliferation and invasion by targeting the c‐myc downstream‐regulated gene 1 (NDRG1) [29]. This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and prostate cancer.
