CD8A and neoplasm: In the U-CAN exploration cohort, flow cytometry analyses of immune markers in tumour tissue revealed a slight but non-significant increase in the fractions of cytotoxic T-cells (CD8+) and T-helper cells (CD4+) in patients with a high CRP level compared to those with a low CRP level, as well as significantly higher fractions of macrophages (CD14+), expressing both M1 (HLA-DR+) and M2 markers (CD163+) (Fig. 2A).
