Importantly, growth curve analysis showed that although MYBL2-overexpressing cells grew faster than control cells, treatment of LY294002 in MYBL2-overexpressing cells reversed the effects of MYBL2 on promoting cell growth (Fig. 7I), indicating that inhibition of the PI3K/AKT pathway can attenuate the proliferative effect of MYBL2 in GC cells.
