Liang et al. [90] found that gossypol significantly inhibited the level of WIF1 in a mouse model of osteoporosis, significantly upregulated the expression levels of key proteins (Wnt, β-catenin, CK1, and Axin) in the Wnt signaling pathway, and upregulated the levels of osteogenesis-related markers (OCN and OPG) in the mice [90]. This evidence concerns the gene TNFRSF11B and osteoporosis.
