SFRP1 and osteoporosis: The collective evidence indicates that the deletion of SFRP1, 2, 4, and 5 can significantly improve the bone microstructure damage induced by osteoporosis, which may be achieved by markedly upregulating the expression of the Wnt and β-catenin proteins and downstream osteogenesis-related markers in the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, thereby promoting osteogenesis in osteoporosis.
