Some studies have shown that MDM2/HMGA2 ratio and histologic tumor grading were identified as important prognostic factors, in which more than twice the amplification or gain level of MDM2 than HMGA2 was strongly associated with poor OS (P < 0.001) and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) (P < 0.001), and histologic tumor grading, cellular heterogeneity, and MDM2 immunoreactivity correlated with OS, whereas HMGA2 immunoreactivity tended to correlate with OS. This evidence concerns the gene HMGA2 and neoplasm.
