Prior research has demonstrated that the infiltration of CD8+ T cells can have a positive impact on the prognosis of patients (Liu et al., 2017), and high tumor stromal density of M2-like macrophages was associated with worse cancer-specific survival, which partly explains the improvement of prognosis of CESC, LUAD, HNSCC, SKCM with high expression of ITGAL. Here, CD8A is linked to cervical squamous cell carcinoma.
